A Caring Station

cuidamos al bebé

Caring for a baby doll is how little kids practice being gentle and helpful. It's also a real routine with steps, which is great practice for following directions.

From the Hearts and Helpers theme · practical life · 5-minute prep · free in the Starter Kit

You need

A baby doll or stuffed animal, a small basin with a little water, a washcloth and towel, a few doll clothes, a bowl and spoon, a small blanket and a picture book.

Make it yours

A vet clinic for stuffed animals, a car wash for toy cars, or a spa day for dinosaurs.

Safety: stay close with water.

Three levels tres niveles

Begin

Feed a baby doll or stuffed animal and tuck it into bed.

Build

Wash it in a small basin, dry it, and dress it.

Stretch

Follow all four steps in order: bath, dress, feed, story.

Move up when
they do the whole routine with care.
Step back when
the basin becomes a splash zone. Skip the water and do dressing only.

Ages are a loose guide. Start at Begin if you're not sure, and follow your child.

Say it in Spanish en español

Say the word, point, and let your child point too. You don't need to speak Spanish.
